"Bravo for doing this. While I was not abused, I have distinct memories of Mr. Washburn "jokingly" gesturing with a pair of scissors and saying "snip snip" when we misbehaved (only in the presence of me and other boys).
Also of a bullwhip he had in the classroom (really) and similar "jokes" he'd make to the boys about its use. In the context of what has been revealed, these memories have far-darker potential implications, regarding his assessment of our reactions.
